Raun J. Rasmussen (RJR) Justice Fellowship
LSNYC created the RJR Justice Fellowship in honor of Raun Rasmussen, who retired as executive director in 2024. The fellowship honors Raun’s dedication to justice as exemplified by his 40-year career fighting on behalf of New Yorkers experiencing poverty. His vision of a legal services organization that can build upon individual case representation with systemic, hard-hitting impact litigation and advocacy will continue to shape LSNYC in the coming decades.
The RJR Justice Fellow will build on Raun’s legacy and carry on the work of helping New Yorkers who need our services the most.
About the RJR Justice Fellowship
The RJR Justice Fellowship is a 2-year fellowship program that focuses on impact litigation and advocacy in new and emerging areas of need for low-income people in New York City, particularly those at the intersection of multiple practice areas. The fellow will be supervised by the citywide legal leadership team and will have a citywide focus.
