MLS Staff Attorney Shares Disaster Relief Expertise with CA Legal Aid Providers

September 25, 2015, NEW YORK—Our resident expert Julia Rosner did a timely disaster training yesterday via webcast for legal services providers in California, focusing on the most common post-disaster legal issues and how to participate in a regionally coordinated disaster legal services pro bono effort.

Julia has been recognized as the FEMA and Disaster Unemployment Assistance expert in the legal community following her work coordinating the delivery of housing, employment, education and benefit services to clients who were impacted by 9/11, and after Hurricane Sandy, she helped prepare a disaster services training manual that was utilized by advocates across the city.  Our best wishes go out to our colleagues in California as they use this training to help those affected by the fires.
