LSNYC’s Cathy Bowman to Receive City Bar Legal Services Award

Congratulations to Cathy Bowman, Director of LGBTQ/HIV Advocacy in our Brooklyn office, who will be honored with the New York City Bar’s Legal Services Award on June 6th!

Cathy has been a leading HIV/AIDS advocate for many years, commencing system changing litigation and advocacy efforts, supervising a team of hard-charging advocates, and generously sharing her expertise with advocates from LSNYC and the extended legal services community to advance services on behalf of our clients. Her decades of visionary leadership in serving low-income communities, in particular LGBTQ people and people living with HIV and AIDS, have transformed individual lives and created systemic change for the communities we serve. The awards ceremony will take place at the City Bar (42 W. 44th Street) on June 6th at 4:00. We hope that many of you can join us to celebrate Cathy’s accomplishments and award!
