Brooklyn have been given some hope. In response to a law suit filed by South Brooklyn Legal
Services (a program of Legal Services NYC) and the law office of Candace C. Carponter, the city has

protections, including Section 8 subsidies and a preference in all
city-supervised affordable developments.

city’s use of eminent domain without a relocation plan for the tenants
of 402, 404 and 406 Albee Square.

“The terms of the settlement addresses all of our concerns,” said Jennifer Levy, the attorney handling the case.
