Bronx Legal Services
Bronx Legal Services, the largest provider of free civil legal services in the borough, provides free legal help to low-income Bronx residents. The Bronx is the poorest borough in New York City and home to the poorest Congressional district in the United States. Nearly a third of Bronx residents live below the federal poverty line.
For nearly 50 years, Bronx Legal Services has been providing high-quality, free legal services to Bronx communities by preserving affordable housing, preventing foreclosures, representing survivors of domestic violence, assisting in obtaining government benefits, obtaining immigration status and preventing deportations, and advocating for the LGBTQ community and students with educational needs. We work in partnership with community-based organizations in the communities we serve.
For free legal help, call us at 917-661-4500 Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn more about our intake process here.
